GRASAG PNAFRICA PARLIAMENTARY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

This initiative provides graduate students with a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the legislative process, enhance their understanding of parliamentary affairs, build their capacity in parliamentary research, and contribute to national development.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME:

  • ⁠ ⁠To provide graduate students with practical experience in parliamentary processes and procedures.
  • To enhance the parliamentary research and policy analysis skills of graduate students.
  • To foster a greater understanding of legislative affairs among graduate students.
  • To bridge the gap between academic research and policy-making.
    To build a network of young professionals committed to parliamentary service and governance.

Criteria for Selection

Applicants for the Parliamentary Fellowship Programme must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a member of a registered GRASAG member institution.
  • Must be enrolled in a postgraduate programme at a recognized GRASAG member institution.
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy, governance, and legislative affairs.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be aged between 20 – 35 years
  • Must be willing to commit between 10-15 hours weekly during programme.
  • Commitment to the values of public service and integrity.
