GRASAG EXPLORES OPPORTUNITIES WITH AFCFTA SECRETARIAT

The Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) visited the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat on March 21, 2024 to explore potential collaborations that can benefit graduate students. The meeting focused on the opportunities presented by the AfCFTA agreement, particularly in areas of trade and economic development. GRASAG President, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu, highlighted the importance of equipping students with knowledge about AfCFTA to enhance their competitiveness in the global market. The GRASAG President was joined by Mr. Rafiu Anwar-Sadat General Secretary, Mr. Kelvin Kwabena Torsu, Financial Controller Mr. Eric Acquah, Chief of Staff & Administrator, Mr. Mark Amam, Public Relations Officer.

The AfCFTA Secretariat led by Mr. Silver Ojakol, Chief of Staff of AfCFTA with support from Dr. Albert Kan Dapah Jnr, Senior Strategic Advisor to Secretary General, H.E Wamkele Mene expressed its willingness to support GRASAG’s initiatives aimed at educating students on trade and economic policies.

These visits demonstrate GRASAG’s commitment to forging strategic partnerships and advocating for policies that enhance the academic and professional development of graduate students in Ghana.
