In a strategic move to enhance collaboration on national policy initiatives, the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) paid a courtesy call on the deputy minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration (Finance and Administration), Hon. Mavis Nkansah-Boadu, MP at the Ministry of Affairs and Regional Integration on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
The delegation, led by GRASAG President, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu, discussed various national and regional integration policies that could benefit graduate students. Other member of the delegation included; Rafiu Anwar-Sadat, General Secretary, Kelvin Kwabena Torsu, Financial Controller, Basin N. Sumaila, Organizing Coordinator, Gideon Odame Agyiri, International Relations Officer and Catherine Blavo Lotsu, Partnership and Diaspora Affairs Officer.
The deputy minister, in her welcome remarks congratulated the executives and wished them success in their term of office. She encouraged the executives to pursue their intended projects diligently, highlighting their potential to make significant contributions to national development. She further expressed the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate with the Association to push its agenda forward.
She encouraged the executives to continue in dedicated service to their fellow students and the country, while recognizing the hardships and frustrations that may come with doing so.
This visit marks a significant step towards integrating academic insights into national development strategies.
