GRASAG SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GHANA EXIM BANK

The Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) is actively pursuing a strategic partnership with the Ghana Export-Import Bank (Ghana Exim Bank) to foster opportunities for its members and contribute to the nation’s economic development. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic research and practical business applications, providing graduate students with avenues to translate their innovative ideas into viable enterprises.

During a recent meeting on February 7, 2024 between GRASAG executives and senior officials of Ghana Exim Bank, discussions centered around potential collaborations that could benefit postgraduate students. The meeting was attended by Mr. Emmanuel Owusu, National President of GRASAG, along with Rafiu Anwar-Sadat, General Secretary, Basin N. Sumaila, Organizing Coordinator, Kelvin Kwabena Torsu, Financial Controller, and Eric Acquah, Chief of Staff. This high-level engagement underscored GRASAG’s commitment to forging partnerships that enhance the professional and entrepreneurial prospects of its members.

Mr. Owusu highlighted the critical role graduate students play in driving innovation and entrepreneurship in Ghana. He noted that by collaborating with Ghana Exim Bank, GRASAG members could gain access to much-needed trade support, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
